Beautiful morning with you on Thursday, November 30th, 2006

Dearest aya

Please do not try to gauge the time in the morning by the amount of sunlight in your room during monsoon seasons. It was nine kinds of STUPID kthxbai.

No love,

Your much ignored alarm clock + handphone alarm

So, I woke up late again. At around 9:50a.m. in the morning TWICE in a row. But the weather was absolutely beautiful with a light drizzle and overcast skies ( it felt like a sin to crawl out of bed ) But I panicked as I saw the green digits flashing back at me when I finally did check my alarm and rushed headon straight into an equally shocked housemate ( that keeps disappearing anyway, that’s why I jumped when I saw him walking around in the living room WTF ) I was SO not ready for any excitement of such when I just woke up. And thank goodness I was decently dressed albeit sporting my unbrushed morning hair.

I managed to get ready in a mere 15 minutes ( not really a record, it’s just that if I minus the usual rolling around in bed and tinkering here and there, I CAN get ready in a short time XD ) and rushed downstairs to get my car. As I was running towards my car which was parked near the next apartment block, I looked up the sky and felt the light drizzle of rain pattered on my face. The gentle breeze that took the moment to start playing with my hair made me stopped running and settled on a more comfortable pace; walking slowly and humming a little to my car.

I hate waking up in the morning a lot and is usually in a semi-bad mood before I get fully awake when lunch time rolled over. But I am really thankful for small and unimportant things as such that can make me feel much better; even in my groggiest and most rushed (not so early ) morning.

Movies and more movies on Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

I think this has to be some kind of a new personal record for myself. Just this month alone, I went to a grand total of six movies so far.

Let’s see ~ who and what and some thoughts.

  1. Open Season 2/5 Funny and silly, but that’s about it.
  2. Death Note 3/5 I’m watching this as a semi fan of the manga series, It’s entertaining even though it’s a tad slow.
  3. The Prestige 5/5 This had me gaping until the very end. Most mystery/thriller story lost it shines on me when I figured out how it clicked. But this one had me at awe til the very end <3
  4. Flushed Away 5/5 I love love LOVE the dry British humour and yet a very American pacing this has. It left with me no time to breath in between laughter XD
  5. Casino Royale 3/5 Eh ~ it’s a James Bond flick. Pretty enjoyable despite the bit of the Hindustani love-scenes near the end ( which turns out to be a complete drag imo ) It was cool during the whole casino scene though.
  6. Deja vu 2/5 I actually liked the idea of it. And enjoyed it quite a bit through the whole process. But the ending killed it for me. Bah.

Let’s see if I can sneak Happy Feet sometime this week as well to make it a Lucky 7 no ? :D Yeap yeap, personal record alright ( btw, I don’t think watching the same movie about 10 times over to be separate entity okay *coughs-LoTR-coughs* )

On a side note, THIS info here from L’Arc~en~Ciel official site gave me much heartburn. They’re having summer tour from June to August 2007 ;__; I *so* want to go ~~~~ But I know shouldn’t ~~~!! GAAAH >_>

A tale from the dredge of Memory Lane on Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

Went out for lunch with an old friend Jeffery earlier today. I was really happy to get his call a few days back because just prior to that, I was wondering whatever had happened to him since I kept bumping into him around my work area and yet we never really had time to meet up to catch up.

The friendship between me and him deserve a post here on it’s own to tell the truth. I first got to know him when I was in Primary 1 and was in the same class. My first impression of him was : pink, fair, cute, annoying, SPOILT ROTTEN BOY. Yeap, it started with a mild dislike for him because he was so damned competitive in class exams and homework and classes and personally think he’s obnoxious ( I bet he think I was the rudest tomboy he’d ever had the misfortune to know ) And the mild dislike gradually snowballed into a disapproval, distaste and eventually your over the top childish hatred throughout the years. Why so? Because I got stuck with him on EVERY.SINGLE. DAMNED. CLASSES in my six years of Primary school.

( Hey, Jeff old pal, if you’re reading this; please don’t kill me yet and read on! Please please pleaseeeeee )

Weekend’s freetalk on Monday, November 13th, 2006

This is the first weekend that I spent here in my apartment since my housemate left not going to work. I’d just realised I don’t

really spend my free weekends in my apartment as I’ll usually end up going to work or when I don’t have work; head back home to my hometown.

Despite the fact that I would dearly love to wake up late on Saturday, I had to rush off to One U before 11:30 ( fine fine, I know 11:30 a.m. isn’t exactly early but gimme a break okay, it’s WEEKEND <3 ) I finally managed to watch The Prestige ♥ that afternoon with Jade and Jeff. And I’m damned happy that I did managed to. It is extremely good and kept me wondering what the will they do next to out-trick each other. I wanted to watch this waaaay back for very obvious shallow reason ( Hey, there be Bale and Jackman, I’m THERE! ) but the movie really just surpassed all my expectation there is to it. <3 Met up with Booya after the movie and headed to a late lunch together. I bid the rest bye-byees after that since they’re heading for a 2nd movie that same day which I’ll be watching on Sunday.

We’d got toys :D on Saturday, November 11th, 2006

Don’t ask me why, but there are a bunch of toys around the office the whole day today XD

Hydrogen Fuel Toy Car

Look! Hydrogen Fuel Powered Toy-car XD There are two of these. One will just run in a straight line slowly but this one here is pretty cool. I think there’s a built in sensor to detect barriers and what not so it’ll make a turn around elsewhere instead of hitting straight into a wall. The make it run was a full science kit project to tell the truth.

But worry not! Our valiant intern, Cheryl ( last day here though :( ) was having fun setting it up XD

Duck Shooting

Duck Shooting Fair–thingie. It now resides on MY TABLE GAWDDAMNIT TAKE IT AWAY PEOPLE. But it managed to amused us for a good 10 minutes ( it amuses me more that a number of people usually overlook the most basic ON-OFF slider switch here in the office XD ). It starts along with this crazy annoying music and a a doode welcoming people to his Duck Shooting stall XDDD

Like srsly man. GET IT OFF MY TABLE ~
