.. Because I just found this in my Write-draft; unposted WTF D:

Yesterday was my last day in my company of two and a half year. That was the 2nd official job in my life and after the crankerous first job which lasted 4 months .. the publication company is indeed a great breath of fresh air for me ( whoo-hoo ~ no corporate mumbo jumbo and at least I’m doing design :P )

In order to remember the date; I’d decided earlier in the morning that I will make a timeline thingie for my last day in that office. It was really strange though, since everything I did the moment I slip my parking access card to the card reader I kept thinking “This will be the last time I’m doing this here” :( I parked in the same Basement 3 car park lot for the past two years and headed to the same elevator that brings me to the ground floor; heading off to my office a little bit further, I would had left some pretty consistent foot prints and tracks that marked my way in and out of the office all these while had it not been tiled floors…

Anyway here goes!

10:15a.m. I got into the office. Signed my name as usual and headed to my workstation. I couldn’t say enough how much I’ll missed my beloved iMac here
10:20a.m.

Got my Mac running and started InDesign, Photoshop and other softwares that I need ( and don’t really need like IMs and Firefox )

10:30a.m  Impromptu discussion regarding a special format cover for the next four months on one of the magazines that my company does. I’m not the one handling the mag; but I did the mock up for the idea some time prior.
12:20p.m. Lunch time! We trudged to the usual ‘pan-mee’ haunt. There wasn’t many people there today; I wondered why. Ordered ‘Prawn Mee’ and wondered will I missed this food place. hmmm .. Possibly NOT though. But I’ll missed the nice Curry Mee lady who is always so sweet and nice to me =(
12:50p.m. Got back to work and was glad that all my output for the month is already on the way to the printer.
1:15p.m. Some changes on one of the pages in the magazine D: Will have to re-send the output to the printer people via email
2:30p.m. Had a very "WTF?" moment when my editor came to pass me work for the upcoming month O_O; Turns out that there’s a massive changes in the magazine style and I guess I should look through it to at least brief my juniors about how to deal with it. I was burning some stuff at the moment and couldn’t access the new materials; so I ended up reading D-Grayman XDD
3:10p.m. Went through the material once the disc slot is free and checked it. Briefed my junior ( WChing! I’ll miss her weirdness XD ) regarding what to do with it. Continued the upcoming month’s items so that whoever who took over the mag will have some sort of guidelines of how/what to do
4:45p.m. The higher ups got back to the office from a meet-up with some mobile phone company big-wig.. AND THEY BROUGHT A CAKE DDD: I totally didn’t see that coming since they’d already had a farewell lunch with me last week T__T ( the one where I ate LOADS of sushi XD; ) I was really surprised and touched ;3; They’re so NICE to me and it made me wanted to cry ;__; I mean, everyone is rushing their magazines in one way or other but they did did and we were just running around eating cakes and joking for a good half hour or more T___T I’ll so missed you guys! Took pictures with fellow designers and the ladies in the workplace.
5:45p.m. Started to clean up my table for good. There was so many memories I had over the two years here in this company. Not all were rose colored and cherry kisses but I did learn a lot about this field and everyone is pretty laid back in many aspects that it’s something I’ll treasure. I missed them already :(

Thankfully, I went off to watch Transformer that same evening so with the rush from one place to another and meeting up with crazy fanboys and fangirls; there wasnt much time for me to emo on my own ~

I do wonder what will happened from now onwards? This is practically Day 01 of me being an official Bum. Heh

And the tick-tocking sounds much louder .. on Thursday, June 21st, 2007

Colleagues had some sort of farewell lunch for me earlier today :3 Remembering the damage I inflicted on them during my birthday last year; I kept my mouth shut about wanting to eat at Tony Roma’s or TGIF XDD;;;

So they finally decided on having sushi-lunch; since I like everything Japanese in their eyes XD;

Anyway I decided to be evil and started grabbing the more expensive stuff on the ‘kaiten’ and even had a whole plateful of soft shell crab + goma ice cream to wash it all down XDDD The look of horror on my editor in chief and the guy colleagues’ faces as the bill doubled and tripled ( in comparison to the amount I usually spend in a kaiten-sushi place like this ) is pure GOLD XD

Oh hey, it wasn’t that bad of a bill since there were quiet a lot of people chipping in the treat :3 But at least they’ll definitely remember me heh heh.

I will miss this place; for sure ( I mean, first and foremost my WONDERFUL WONDERFUL iMac T____T I can’t bear to part with it! )

Singapore Day 02 report coming up! It’s PLAY! A Video Game Symphony <3

Singapore trip! Day 01 on Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

Singapore trip was massive fun + crack + WTF + moolah draining + getting lost + FUN FUN FUNN ~~

I stayed up til around 4a.m. on Friday because I had not packed previously ( hellowww last minutism T__T ) WHY? Because I was busy contributing to the massive gmail spamming discussion about Singapore with the crew. That, and I was reading Claymore ( I have no idea why this is so addictive O_O ) Darn my brother for passing me 13 volumes of this!

I took leave on Friday to take off to Singapore. PLAY! Video Game Orchestra was the main reason the nine of us took this trip and we just can’t wait for Saturday evening to arrive. We drove there in two cars ( after many weeks of debates on how to get there LAWLS ) and finally took off from here around 1p.m. ^^;; I was sorted along with Hanie and Aimo into Riz’s Satria Neo =DDDD 150cc Mario Kart equivalent! So said the Booya!

At the bridge connecting Johor + SingaporeArrived in Singa-land in the evening around 6p.m. and were kinda lost around Joo Chiat area unable to locate the backpacker hotel we booked. It was a whole new experience on it’s own to realise that the hotel was smacked right in the middle of one of the red light districts in Singapore. Take a walk at night along the street; you’ll be amazed at the amount of boobies you can see =P ( okay okay FINE, it’s just low cut shirt and very very short skirts; but reaaalllly you can probably see better cleavage here than Singapore’s Hooters — which according to whiterabbit, is nothing much at all XDDD )

Was super late when we managed to check in ( it was about 7p.m. ) and I had to rush out to meet Lorraine and Helen after dumping my stuff in the dorm room. The horror of a massive mixed dorm room had not hit me yet at that time but we’ll get to that a bit later. The others headed to Vivo City when I ran off on my own ( sorry guys! ) to meet up with Lorraine and Helen in Bugis. It was SO CRAZY LATE when I finally arrived T_____T
