Weekend’s freetalk on November 13, 2006 @ 2:39 pm

This is the first weekend that I spent here in my apartment since my housemate left not going to work. I’d just realised I don’t

really spend my free weekends in my apartment as I’ll usually end up going to work or when I don’t have work; head back home to my hometown.

Despite the fact that I would dearly love to wake up late on Saturday, I had to rush off to One U before 11:30 ( fine fine, I know 11:30 a.m. isn’t exactly early but gimme a break okay, it’s WEEKEND <3 ) I finally managed to watch The Prestige ♥ that afternoon with Jade and Jeff. And I’m damned happy that I did managed to. It is extremely good and kept me wondering what the will they do next to out-trick each other. I wanted to watch this waaaay back for very obvious shallow reason ( Hey, there be Bale and Jackman, I’m THERE! ) but the movie really just surpassed all my expectation there is to it. <3 Met up with Booya after the movie and headed to a late lunch together. I bid the rest bye-byees after that since they're heading for a 2nd movie that same day which I'll be watching on Sunday.

I realised the skies were are grey and moody with a distant rumbling of thunder as I was heading back. The lights along the corridors of the apartment area were not turned on yet despite the fact that I have to near grope my way around to get back to my unit. As I was passing an apartment window on my right ( I had always been happy that my apartment is at one far end of the floor with no room windows facing the general walkway; reason why ? You’ll see later ) I noticed that one of the apartment room that had been empty for some time is lighted up. As I made to my own unit, I noticed :

#1. The lighted room has curtains; albeit ones made of see-through materials ( it defies the purpose of curtains no? )

#2. There’s someone in the lighted room. In full view of everyone outside. Most probably even to the open windows directly opposite it.

#3. There’s a GUY CHANGING IN THE ROOM. WTF. He was putting on his PANTS gawddamnit. MY EYES! MY EYES!

Naw, I didn’t get into teh dramaz, I just walked away very very quickly and as quietly as I can trying to hold down the laughter that was building up. I got back to my apartment, locked the door; didn’t bothered to turn on the lights and laughed and laughed and LAUGHED. Oh dear gawd, the stupidity, it BURNS! I mean, you can already see silhouette of people in a lighted up room with proper curtains. Who the HELL buy semi transparent curtains when you know your damned room’s windows is facing a general WALKWAY ??!

Sunday was even more restful. This time around, I managed to sleep all the way til noon. Woke up and started to clean up the place ( I ALWAYS leave mopping the floor for a bit too long ) and tinker about the computer while having lunch I made myself. Storm was raging about 2 o’clock rendering everything dark and cold. I kind of like the weather that way. But I hate to go turn off my computer in case the machine got fried or something ;__; I was thankful the rain subsided much when I’m getting ready to leave to meet up with whiterabbit for movie in Cineleisure. Spent the time going around doing some girly window shopping and only found out that BOTH of us messed up the movie time XD; We ended up missing the first 10 minutes or so of Flushed Away because we both thought it starts at 5:40p.m. T__T Oh well, it gave me a good reason to go watch it again because I absolutely LOVE it ( oh the humour and the characters! And the set designs! )

whiterabbit and I ended up trying out a new restaurant opening inside Cineleisure because we kept being bombarded by the banners EVERYWHERE we go. It’s Shabu-shabu. How could we resist?

And by gosh! It’s one of the most delightful dinner I had for weeks here ( not counting the ones I had at home, it’s simply unfai

r to compare okay ?:D Unfortunately we only realised that we didn’t take pictures of the lovely dinner we had BEFORE we started on it. It just hit us to do so when the shabu-shabu pot was totally empty ( we even drank up on the soup! ) It was THAT nice. Anyone who wanted to try out, it’s called Satsuma in Cineleisure Lower Ground floor. Spent the rest of the night after dinner in hunt for some marshmallows chocolates DD: And walked around doing shopping for random junk food and more window shopping for girly stuff until it’s past the closing time :P

It was a totally unproductive weekend and yet I enjoyed every single bit of meeting up with friends and even spending quiet time alone with myself :)
