There was a poll on Siam Shade’s official website last month. Visitors can vote up to 5 songs from the entire Siam Shade discography and there was a message option at the end of the poll to be submitted to the band/management too ^^ Result got in a few weeks back and here it is!

We’d received many passionated messages that a lot of thoughts were put during the voting whether it was about the memories brought upon by certain songs, about Siam Shade themselves or about the concert. Thank you very much.

There is a total of 20 messages on the official site currently. I’m not sure whether I should be translating them all since my translation is only 50/50 accurate at most XDD;
But it’s really amazing that fans range from the age of 10-40 are all so passionated about the band, five years after they’d disbanded and are all looking forward to the legendary reunion live Yes yes I know most people are more excited about Lunasea’s Christmas Eve reunion BUUUUUT! This! Is! SPARTAAAAA Siam Shade!!!
There are fans who’d missed the finale live five years ago and had been regretting it since then. There are fans who felt that even after they’d disbanded for so long, their music never fade and is still residing in that special part in their heart. There are also fans ( and I bet there are many of them; me included ) who complained about the 5 songs limitation during the poll since it’s just so damned hard to choose ONLY FIVE out of the many amazing ones they’d put out over the years.
… and here is the last bit from the latest update from the site ( please remember that I’m by no mean good in the language and this is a just rough translation. Feel free to correct me if I’d made a mistake in translation ) :
投票期間中、何度も順位が入れ代わる中、「Dear?」だけは、投票初日から最終日まで、ずっと1位をキープし続けました。この曲を選んだ理由として「歌詞が大好き」「ファンのことを想って作ってくれた曲だから」「解散ライヴでの栄喜さんの涙が印象的だったから」「SIAM SHADEが大好きになるきっかけとなった曲だから」などが多かったのですが、その他「もう一度ライヴで一緒に歌いたい」というご意見を、本当にたくさんいただきました。メンバーとファンの皆さんを繋ぐ大切な曲として、ずっと愛され続けたこの曲の1位は、投票結果を気にしていたメンバーにとっても、納得のいく結果だったようです。
この投票結果がどこまで今回のライヴに反映されるかはお伝えできませんが、「最高のステージ」を皆さんに、そして中村氏に届ける為に、選曲も含め着々と準備は進んでいます。ライヴ当日までたっぷり曲を聴き込んで、たっぷり体力をつけて待っていてください!!
During the course of the voting, “Dear” was the only song that constantly outranked any other songs as #1 from day one to the last day. Those who voted for this song said “I love the lyrics”; “This was the song that was written/composed for the fans [ written with fans in their mind ]“, “Hideki’s tears left a very strong impression during the finale live (performing this song)”, “This was the song that made me love Siam Shade” — and various other reasons were listed. Another said “I would like to sing this song once more during live, together”, as were many messages that conveyed the same sentiment were received. { [ This ] important song that connects the band members and the fans continuously all this while is felt and understood by the band members too.* }
How the result of this poll will affect this upcoming live concert is still unknown, “The greatest stage” is being prepared for fans and Mr. Nakamura; these chosen songs will be steadily be included in the ongoing preparation for the live. Until the day of the concert, please await it with loads of music and vigour!

Not so randomly, plugging one of my all time favourite song by one of my all time favourite band. Siam Shade’s Dreams.
It’s a wonder how she can understand me ) until the other students rushed in, gave me A LOOK and apologised profusely ( I can so see it in their eyes : “OMG even *she* gets in already. I’m reallllly late ohshit ohshit ohhshittttt”. Chatting with my sensei I realised once more that that I’m pretty much grammar AND particles impaired lolz.
