Today, a freelancer we hired to get some work done for us quit – at the end of the day, when she was supposed to hand in her work to us by 5pm. Did I mention this work was actually due last Friday but we pushed it to Monday because she was suffering from computer-related issues? When it was past 5pm I called her, twice. She never picked up. About an hour or so later my boss comes back from her meeting and informs us that the freelancer sent a text message to her saying that she had to bail out on us because she had too much other work to do. She actually did send us some work last night, but it wasn’t what we wanted, despite my rather elaborate (and as read and agreed by both the AE and my boss that it was quite comprehensive) brief. So I explained to her as properly as possible again today about what she was supposed to do. And then she pulls this shit on us. So I had to stay till 9pm again today just to do what she was supposed to have given us. Thankfully it was just a simple job, or god knows how long I would be stuck in the office today. Brilliant, that girl.
